#83 How to Master the Art of Delegation and Reclaim Your Time

Strategy 1: Determine Your Priorities and Zone of Genius

Identify where you should be spending your time and what tasks align with your strengths and add the most value to your company. By understanding your zone of genius, you can prioritise your responsibilities effectively and delegate tasks that are better suited for others.

The ladies in my mastermind group have experienced remarkable shifts in their time management and really honed in on their zone of genius. By regularly connecting through coaching calls, keeping each other accountable, and creating strong friendships, they now know the areas where they can make important changes and exceed their previous expectations.

Strategy  2: Empower Your Team and Provide Clear Feedback

Avoid the temptation to fix your team’s mistakes yourself. Instead, empower them by clearly communicating your expectations and offering constructive feedback. Teach them how to improve and use collaborative tools to facilitate efficient communication and shared understanding.

Strategy 3: Overcome the “Do It Yourself” Mentality

Strategic or reactive? Challenge the notion that doing everything on your own is faster. Prioritise tasks based on their strategic importance and then consider delegating. Use collaboration tools, trust in your team, and prioritise meaningful work over busywork to increase your overall impact and achieve a better work-life balance.
